| PEDRO
ARANDIA (Director/Instructor) Since
1999, Pedro Arandia is the major Western Australian
representative on the International Tango scene.
Pedro Arandia is
the only professional Tango dancer from Buenos Aires,
Argentina in WA and has lived in Perth since 1999. He
started danci ng in 1991 and has studied Tango extensively
with the great masters of the dance including Mingo
Pugliese, Pepito Avellaneda and many others. He started
dancing professionally in 1994 at the international
well know Academia Nacional del Tango
in Argentina (Host of the World Championship) He has
danced with famous orchestras such as Osvaldo
Pugliese, El Arranque and Alberto Castillo.
He brought the most spectacular and creative tango to
Perth without question; Pedro's Tango shows are undoubtedly
the very best and most authentic in WA. He is the 1st
tango Dancer at His Majesty's theatre since 2001 and
teach Tango at Western Australian University.
Thanks to Pedro Arandia's
vision and knowledge many great artists have danced
at teaching in our city. Big tango names, all renowned
around the world, such as:

Godoy 2006 (World tango champs)

2004 (Oscar award nominated 1998, cast of Tango Argentino,

Fernandez 2005 (Tango X 2, World Tango Festival,
Tangokinesis)
- Gato and Andrea
2002, 2004 & 2006 (more that 300 performances
experience) and many others.
Arandia is a passionate
and exciting young dancer and choreographer, who has
directed and performed in his own Tango dance productions,
notably Tango Cabaret (2002), Tango
Takes 2 (2003) Tango Evolution
(2004) Tango Nuevo (2005) and Tango
Art (2006). He has taught and performed in
all the major cities of Australia as well as London,
Zurich and Buenos Aires.
Pedro's Motto is "If you want
you can" and as a total artist he likes to work
harder to improve he's multiples talents.
Pedro’s vision is to create
a genuine Argentine Tango Cultural Centre in Australia
where people can learn about and appreciate Argentine
Tango dancing, Latin-American culture and heritage.
He has very strong relationships with artists: dancers
and musicians from Argentina, interstate and overseas.
Arandia continues to organise visits to W.A. by the
best and most famous Tango artists in the world. This
maintains a regular interchange of ideas, skills and
experience, to improve and inspire everyone in Australia.
